Sound of Silence Museum for Communication, Bern, 2018
What is silence? Does it exist at all? The temporary exhibition "Sounds of Silence" is an acoustic experiment in a museum space. Equipped with headphones and sensors, visitors enter an abstract graphic space without any exhibits or text.
How can an exhibition without exhibits be put in the right light? Follow a dramaturgy? And build up tension?
According to Peter Brook's The Empty Room. The lighting supports the spatial and sound experience.
This makes "Sounds of Silence" an exhibition experience the likes of which have never been seen before.
Awards
Brand-EX Award, 2020
DDC Award, Gute Gestaltung, 2019
ISA International Sound Award, 2019
